人生で間違いなく大切な乳幼児期

I'll take part in Edcamp abroad!!

I'm Mayuko Mikami and I've been working as a nursery school teacher for 7yrs since I completed my degree at university. From that time forward I've met many kind of people who work on taking action to take over better future to children.  Until I found myself being passionate about getting practically experiences, I was satisfied with participating in seminers which held by another educators.

But It's my time to take an action!! Now or Never!!

I've decided to take part in Edcamp in America in Jan.26th @ Dayton.

what's Edcamp??

Edcams are informal sessions by educators. Participant-driven conferences.Participants determine topics that they discuss about and share ideas and experiences.

What I would like to do are

What do teachers struggle with??

How do teachers make the curriculum and do in classroom??

This year,Japan has decided to accept more foreign workers to solve its labor shortage from next year. There are two type of status of residences. One of them allows workers bring their family. That means Japanese school(kindergarten, elementary ,secondary so on...) will have more children who have many kind of background and might have to tweak our curriculum of school and some customs of school because of their religion, cultural things.Schools in Japan provide the school meal for lunch that generally included pork, beef, seasonings contain alcohol.

A few of schools have been ready to teach Japanese as second language, also provide halal, hold event in consideration of religion. However you rarely see like this school in Japan so far.

So I’ve been thinking we should prepare for upcoming situation for schools.

I’d like to find points that we should improve to accept schoolers from abroad from teachers in America who take part in Edcamp and take practical examples away to Japan. Also I’d like to ask teachers about Japanese education.

What’s the first thing come to mind when you hear Japanese education??

I hope we find new aspects of Japanese education that we’ve never noticed. And wanna clarify advantages and disadvantages of Japanese education.

Recent years, we've tended to be into educational methods especially from Northen Europe. However I believe that our social costom, way to upbring and teaching kids are still valiable for all children .

why don't we take good ideas for them from inside and outside of our country.

Going to America(Dayton,Ohio), participating in Edcamp and learn about education as possible as I can. That’s what I wanna do the very first of 2019!!

If you will take part in Edcamp in Dayton or interested in it, Please leave a comment :))

And also I’ve been looking forward schools that I can visit during my trip from 24th to 29th of Jan.
